Arthurs John of Chilson
In the name of God amen
This nineteenth day of March ano domini 1719 I John Arthurs of Chilson in the county of Oxon caerpenter being weak in body but of good and perfect memory I bless God for it do make this my last will and testament in manner and [form?] following -----?----- my will is my [?real] debts be discharged. Item I give and devise unto my son John Arthurs he being my eldest son all that my messuage or tenemant in Chilson with the appurtenances thereunto belonging to have and to hold unto my said son John and to his heirs and assingnes for ever. Never[tobe?] changed and changeable with this legacy or sum of money herein after mentioned. Item my will and [ordaining ?] is that my siad son John shall pay out of this my estate unto my son Wm Arthers the full sum of eighty pounds when he comes to the age of twenty two years and if it shall happen that my son William should dye before said legacy shall become due and payable then my will is that my son John shall pay the sum of forty pounds unto my son Edmund within one year after Wm's decease . Item my will and pleasure is that my three sons shall pay the residue of the money that is behind and unpaid to Wm Bryan of L Coombe due for his wife, [-----?wife's name---] in my estate at Fyfield out of my chattles and after my son Edmund shall have the said estate in his soul possession immediately after my decease. Item my will and pleasure is that my son William shall have the sum of ten pounds to be paid to him out of the inventory to putt [sic] himself apprentice and my will is that my sons John and Edmund shall pay twenty shillings a peece to my son William out of the aforesaid estates every year during the full time of his apprenticeship to provide him cloathes. Item my will and intending further is that if my son John happen to dye and have no son then my will is that if he have a wife she to have it for her life and afterwards to my son William and his sons for ever upon condition that he pay to my son Edmund or to his children the sum of forty pounds out of the same estate. Item my will is that my son William to have all my wearing apparell. Item I do constitute and appoint my three sons to be my full whole and sole executors the one as well as the other of this my last will and testament revoking all other wills by me made and I would define that my brother William Busby and Thomas Busby of Westcot Barton and my cousin Simon Aisill of Rissington will oversee all my sons fore that my will be fullfilled according to the intent and ordaining thereof [-----?-----] whereof I do hereunto put my hand and seale the day and year above written John Arthurs sealed and delivered in the prescence of Wm Busby of Westcott Barton
